Blogging on Koolred!

It seems that starting a blog these days is sort of a trend. It’s no longer the teenagers and twenty-somethings that are blogging, it’s Uncle Timmy and Sheila’s mum as well.

The challenge of course is updating your blog. Some bloggers get discouraged by the tiny little
‘0 Comments’ displayed beneath their blog post and eventually lose interest in updating their blog. They think nobody is reading their blog so why bother! Their probably right but let’s not tell them.

Others on the other hand, are diligent in posting entries and even more gung-ho about uploading pictures. These constantly-updated blogs, filled with exciting pictures and funny/dramatic posts are what captures the readers’ attention.

The ‘business-minded’ blogger is the one who takes it a step further and makes money from their blog. They can do a variety of things from writing reviews to selling ads on their blog.

Of course there is the downside of blogging. Who can forget the infamous case in America involving Heather Armstrong (she writes a personal blog called ‘Dooce’), who got fired a couple of years back for blogging about her work and colleagues.

Then there are the celebrities who blog. Apparently they have the time! Among them are beloved actors like Jackie Chan and the controversial Edison Chen (Hong Kong). Popular singers such as John Mayer (US) to Jolin Tsai (Taiwan) and Tanya Chua (Singapore) also choose to blog.
Political blogs are also mushrooming all over Asia but let’s not go there.

The point is blog’s can be fun to both read and write. On Koolred, you can opt to start a blog and tell everyone about the awesome time you had in Krabi, Thailand or the yummy chili crab you had in Singapore. It’s your space….so write what you want.

Some of you would already have a blog right now. So obviously there wouldn’t be a need to start a blog on Koolred BUT you could import your blog over to Koolred and have everything under one site. All your friends on Koolred will even be notified each time you update your blog.
